The Pelvis and
the Breath.
An online workshop - 30th October 2025
Thursday 30th October from 6.30-9pm BST
This ONLINE workshop is an opportunity for EMBODIED PELVIC CARE AND CONNECTION.
Do you feel numbness, discomfort, or general disconnection from your breath, belly, pelvis, pelvic diaphragm, vulva and vagina?
Have you recently given birth or would you like specific support with pelvic recovery?
Are you a bodyworker or birthworker who supports women and need more specific information and experience with the female pelvis?
This workshop will be an opportunity to create some alternative blueprints.
If you’ve lost connection with your body or your pelvis, know that your diaphragm feels stuck, feel frustrated by ongoing pelvic pathology, discomfort, numbness or a lack of connection to your creative energy (which is housed in the root of our body), this workshop offers time to open the doors to being with your base and your root, without fixing, and discovering means to embrace what you find.
This workshop is limited to 12 participants. Upon enrollment, you will be sent a brief intake form so I know the motivation for your participation and can attend specifically to your needs.
THE PELVIS
The female pelvis and pelvis for anyone with internal reproductive anatomy is a receptacle. It receives, creates and allows things to pass through it. Historically - through the bodies of our ancestors - and in the collective experience - the pelvis has endured and responded to the nature of medical culture, birth culture, relationship culture, and culture more widely.
This workshop offers a space for the legacy of the pelvis to be acknowledged - and to practice being with this place in our body in real time.
THE BREATH
Our breath moves us. It is literally bringing life inside of us. It provides the motion necessary to the health of our tissues and organs. It creates pressure differentials in the horizontal plains of our body by changing the volume of our thoracic cavity. These horizontal plains are moved in coherence by our breath when our structure is well organized and enables it to.
This workshop is an invitation for you to come and be held well, to take time to put your hands and attention on your own body and find out how your own breath, touch and attention are of deep value.

I run my private practice in person Oxford and online. I assist Kimberly Johnson in teaching Mothering the Bones work and co-faciliate the School for Ethical Touch alongside Pamela Samuelson.

What PEOPLE HAVE SAID ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP…
“Emily is a profound mentor, example and guide on this journey into deeper connection with our innermost body. The knowledge she imparts about our physiology is evidence based but the awareness she engenders is intuitive. She has a magical way of drawing out and honouring the embodied wisdom each person already possesses, rather than seeking to impose it from the outside, so that learning from her feels like rediscovering something you knew all along but wanted to be reminded of. In her groups, she creates a grounded, nourishing environment where I felt truly comfortable, at rest and able to be myself - a perfect atmosphere for discovery and exploration. I took away from this workshop some very practical exercises to use in daily practice, but also an experience of the difference they make, so that I am actually inclined to incorporate them into my everyday life. The sense of a greater aliveness, connection and harmony has remained with me. I’m sure the world would be an even better place to live if everyone had the chance to learn these skills from Emily.”
